Karen & Jakub are a lovely couple who met while attending the same secondary school. They were a bit nervous about how to behave or pose in front of the camera as they have never done this before. One week before their Killenard summer wedding I invited them and their two gorgeous greyhounds for a short pre wedding shoot in Fota Gardens. This really helped them to be relaxed on their wedding day.

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Peter & Paul’s Church in Portlaoise, followed by a reception at the Heritage Killenard Hotel.

After giving their speeches, they presented how their relationship grew over the years in a series of wonderful photos projected on a big screen. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of the photos we took in Fota pop up just before ending the slideshow.

The absence of a band or DJ did not stop the couple and their guests from having a blast on the dance floor with music played from a phone. Before I left their celebrations, I finished the wedding shoot with a couple portraits under the night sky with them exiting through a tunnel of sparklers held by the guests.
